What does the clinic training involve?
The clinic training includes individual sessions with a BrainPort trained therapist. The therapists all have experience in vestibular rehabilitation. You will learn how to use the BrainPort device, and progress through a series of balance challenges while using the BrainPort device. The training is typically completed in standing, with your eyes closed. Each training session is about 1 hour in length. Typically 4-6 hours of training are required over a period of 2-3 consecutive days.
Do I need to use the BrainPort device 24 hours a day?
No, when you train with the clinician at the clinic, they will provide instructions for home use. Typically, the recommended use is 2-20 minute sessions each day.
